Local Expertise. Personal Attention. Exceptional Craftsmanship.

A home you love starts with a remodeling team you trust.

Renovating your home is a big decision. You're investing in a space that holds your routines, celebrations, family memories, and everyday moments. Choosing the right contractor matters.

At Community Building Services, we approach remodeling with an understanding that we're not just working on a building. We're working in your home.

As a family-owned company serving Mid-Michigan since 2012, we combine professional construction experience with the personal service you'd expect from a local business.

We believe in doing things the right way, treating people fairly, and keeping homeowners informed throughout the project.

Whether you're updating a single room or reimagining your entire home, our goal is simple: thoughtful improvements, quality workmanship, and a remodeling experience built on trust.

Real Homes, Real Transformations.

Added Bathroom We reclaimed unused space and built out a completely new bathroom from the ground up inside this room—giving this family the extra space and privacy they needed without changing their home's footprint.	Garage to Bedrooms Before, this was an underutilized garage space taking up valuable square footage. We stepped in to fully convert it into a bright, warm, and inviting bedroom. From insulation, drywall, and custom flooring to adding natural light and seamless HVAC integration, this room went from storage for lawnmowers to a sanctuary for a growing family.	Custom Fireplace When we first stepped into this room, the goal was clear: turn an empty wall into a statement piece that balances warmth with smart storage. We framed out the centerpiece, integrated a sleek modern electric unit, and hand-built custom dark shelving to contrast the bright trim and walls.

Remodeling Is Personal. So Are We.

We know you have options when choosing a remodeling contractor. We also know that the people working in your home are just as important as the finished project. Here's what guides our approach.

Locally Owned & Community Focused

We're not a national remodeling franchise. We're a Mid-Michigan business with local roots and a commitment to the communities where we live and work.

Quality-Driven Craftsmanship

The details matter. We approach every project with attention to the materials, workmanship, and finishing touches that make a renovation feel complete.

Clear, Consistent Communication

A successful remodel starts with clear expectations. We believe homeowners should understand what's happening, what comes next, and whom to contact with questions.

Fairness & Accountability

We value honest conversations, thoughtful planning, and taking responsibility for the work we perform. Our business is built on treating people with respect.

A Personal Approach

No two households are exactly alike. We take time to understand what matters to you so your project supports your needs—not just a standard remodeling formula.

Because good remodeling is about more than what we build. It's also about how we treat the people we're building it for.

Your Home Has Potential. Let's Make the Most of It.

Every home is different, and every homeowner has a vision. Our job is to help turn that vision into a finished space that balances beauty, functionality, and lasting value.

Kitchen Remodeling

The heart of your home, thoughtfully reimagined.

Your kitchen should be a space where cooking, gathering, and everyday living come together naturally.

Whether you're looking for better storage, an updated layout, new cabinetry, or a complete transformation, CBS helps create kitchens that are as functional as they are beautiful.

From the big-picture layout to the finishing details, we focus on making your kitchen work better for your life.

Bathroom Remodeling

Everyday comfort. Lasting quality.

A well-designed bathroom can make a difference in how you start and end each day.

From refreshed guest bathrooms to complete primary bathroom renovations, we help homeowners create comfortable, functional spaces that reflect their style.

Our bathroom remodeling projects can include walk-in showers, updated vanities, tile, flooring, lighting, and improved accessibility.

Whole-Home & Interior Renovations

Love your location? Reinvent your space.

Sometimes the home you already have is exactly where you want to be—it simply needs to work differently.

Whether you're opening up a living area, finishing a basement, updating multiple rooms, or giving an older home new life, CBS brings the experience and attention to detail needed for more involved renovations.

Together, we can help make the home you have better suited to the life you're living.

Home Additions

More room for what matters.

When your home no longer fits your needs, an addition may offer the space you've been missing without requiring a move.

From expanded living areas to additional bedrooms and other functional spaces, we help homeowners explore ways to grow their homes while respecting the character of the existing structure.

Aging-in-Place & Accessible Remodeling

A home that works for today—and tomorrow.

Our needs change over time, but that doesn't always mean our address has to.

CBS helps homeowners explore practical improvements such as accessible showers, wider doorways, safer layouts, and other modifications that support greater comfort, mobility, and independence.

Because a thoughtfully remodeled home should serve you for years to come.
